Area Manager - Dairy Sector (Northern England & Scotland)
Location: Covering Northern England & Scotland - Field-Based
About the Role:
Executive Hurdles Recruitment is proud to partner with an industry-leading company to recruit an Area Manager to support dairy farms across Northern England and Scotland. This exciting opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong agricultural experience, particularly within the dairy sector, who are passionate about improving herd health, milk quality, and overall farm performance.

You will play a pivotal role in managing and developing your own territory, working closely with dairy farmers and dealer partners, and driving the sales of specialist farm hygiene solutions. This role combines technical expertise with commercial know-how to identify challenges on the farm and recommend effective, practical solutions. Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Territory Management: Develop and grow sales within your designated territory by working closely with dealer networks and farm customers.

Client Relationship Building: Foster strong, trusted relationships with dairy farmers through regular farm visits and offering expert advice.

Identify & Solve Challenges: Identify common on-farm issues such as mastitis, milking hygiene, milk quality, and lameness, and provide tailored solutions.

Dealer & Partner Support: Support dealer partners through training, joint visits, and sales planning to help grow mutual business opportunities.

Collaboration: Work alongside veterinary practices, farm advisors, and other key partners to drive new opportunities for the business.

Reporting & Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts, track pipeline activity, and provide regular reporting.
Required Skills & Experience:

Essential Agricultural Experience: Strong knowledge of dairy farming practices, herd health, and milk quality. Experience working directly with cattle farming is crucial, even if you don’t have formal qualifications.

Sales & Territory Management: Proven experience in sales or territory management, ideally within the agricultural or dairy sector. Sales skills can be developed, but agricultural experience is key.

Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong, trusted relationships with farmers, dealer partners, and other stakeholders.

Organisational Skills: Self-motivated, highly organised, and comfortable managing a field-based role that involves regular travel.

Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence with a willingness to travel regularly across your territory.
Preferred Qualifications:

Qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science, Farm Management, or a related subject (Level 3 or equivalent) – or equivalent practical experience in dairy farming.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
