A senior, highly autonomous sales appointment within an established global technology business specialising in public safety and intelligent transportation solutions — with over 50 years' experience and more than 13,000 systems deployed internationally.

The business works closely with public authorities and transportation organisations across the globe to reduce accidents, improve driver behaviour and make roads safer through advanced automated traffic enforcement technology. Following continued international growth, they are now seeking an experienced North America Sales Manager to take ownership of commercial growth across the USA and wider North American market.

This is a significant appointment.

You will have genuine autonomy to shape the North American commercial strategy, develop major public-sector relationships and secure complex, high-value contracts with a tangible impact on road safety and public infrastructure.

The Role

As North America Sales Manager you will take full ownership of regional commercial growth — identifying new opportunities, developing the partner and channel ecosystem, and converting them into long-term business with government agencies, municipalities and transportation authorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing the North America sales strategy

  • Identifying, targeting and securing new business opportunities across the region

  • Managing the complete sales cycle from initial market development through to negotiation and contract award

  • Building relationships with government agencies, municipalities, transportation authorities and public-sector organisations

  • Developing strong senior-level relationships with key decision-makers and influencers

  • Leading complex commercial discussions involving pricing, positioning, procurement and contract negotiation

  • Building and expanding a regional ecosystem of distributors, integrators, resellers and strategic partners

  • Working with partners to develop effective joint go-to-market strategies

  • Developing account and territory plans to maximise market penetration and revenue growth

  • Monitoring competitor activity, market trends and emerging opportunities

  • Acting as the voice of the North American market, providing insight that influences product, commercial and go-to-market strategy

  • Maintaining accurate pipeline visibility, forecasting and sales reporting

  • Representing the organisation at customer meetings, industry events and conferences

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in enterprise, government or public-sector B2B/B2G sales — essential

  • Strong background within Public Safety, Road Safety, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) or a closely related technology or infrastructure market — essential

  • Proven success developing and closing complex, high-value government-led contracts

  • Experience managing lengthy and sophisticated sales cycles involving public authorities, procurement teams, technical stakeholders and senior decision-makers

  • Strong new business development capability with evidence of building markets, territories or revenue streams from the ground up

  • Experience developing and executing regional sales and go-to-market strategies

  • Strong understanding of pricing, positioning, competitive strategy and commercial negotiation

  • Experience building and managing relationships with distributors, system integrators, resellers and strategic partners

  • Ability to operate effectively across complex multi-stakeholder ecosystems

  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and senior stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work independently within a fully remote, geographically dispersed international organisation

  • Willingness to travel across North America as required

The Package

  • Salary: US$130,000 – US$160,000 depending on experience

  • Bonus: 20%

  • Benefits: Excellent benefits package

  • Location: Fully remote — can be based anywhere in the USA

  • Travel: Regular travel across North America required
