Salary Ranges:


Project Manager: £45,000 – £60,000


Senior Design Engineer: £60,000 – £75,000+
 

Principal Design Engineer: £65,000 – £75,000
Plus Benefits, Shares, Relocation & Sponsorship Support (where applicable)

Southampton – Hybrid Working (3 Days On-Site)

Executive Hurdles Recruitment is supporting a fast-growing maritime technology business developing innovative wind-assisted propulsion systems designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions across global shipping fleets.

The business is entering an exciting phase of growth and is now hiring across multiple engineering and project delivery functions as the company scales its next generation of clean maritime technology.

These opportunities offer the chance to work on real-world climate-impact engineering projects spanning concept design, structural analysis, manufacturing, supplier coordination, installation, and vessel deployment.

Current Opportunities

 

Project Manager

Ideal for candidates with:

  • Project delivery or project coordination experience

  • Marine, engineering, manufacturing, or technical environments

  • Strong stakeholder management and organisational capability

  • Experience coordinating suppliers, shipyards, logistics, and engineering teams

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Comfort operating within practical, hands-on environments

Senior Design Engineer

Ideal for candidates with:

  • Mechanical, structural, or marine engineering backgrounds

  • Hands-on design for manufacture experience

  • Strong CAD capability (Inventor, Siemens NX, etc.)

  • Experience working closely with manufacturing teams

  • Knowledge of DFMA and production readiness

  • Experience with fabrication, welding, or structural assemblies

  • Practical experience seeing products move from design into production

 

Principal Design Engineer

Ideal for candidates with:

  • Marine structural engineering expertise

  • Classification society experience (DNV, Lloyds Register, etc.)

  • Strong structural analysis and FEA capability

  • Large steel structure or vessel design experience

  • Strong 3D modelling and parametric design capability

  • Real-world design validation and production experience

  • Strong understanding of structural integrity and manufacturability
