About the Opportunity
Executive Hurdles Recruitment is supporting a well-established organisation seeking an experienced IT Business Solutions Manager with a strong focus on project and data activation to join their growing technology function.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded IT delivery professional with a strong background in end-to-end project management, vendor coordination, and data and system integration delivery. The role combines strong delivery leadership with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments — ensuring that data integration and interoperability sit at the heart of successful business transformation.
The successful candidate will take ownership of complex IT and data-driven projects from initiation through to delivery, working across internal business teams, IT functions, and external vendors to ensure alignment, quality, and business value at every stage.
This opportunity would suit an experienced IT Project Manager or IT Delivery Lead with 5–10+ years' experience who is comfortable leading in both Agile and hybrid delivery environments, and who brings a strong understanding of data integration, system interoperability, and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Delivery Management:

Managing end-to-end project ownership across initiation, planning, execution, delivery, and support

Leading delivery of data and integration projects across multiple systems and platforms

Managing external vendors and system integrators, including contracting, coordination, and performance oversight of third-party providers

Engaging and managing stakeholders across business, IT, and external partner teams
-
Managing budgets, delivery tracking, risks, issues, and dependencies

Driving change management and business adoption across functions

Overseeing Agile and hybrid delivery, including sprint planning and backlog prioritisation
Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
-
Acting as the key interface between business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors

Managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams (internal and external)

Coordinating multiple suppliers in multi-vendor delivery environments

Ensuring alignment of vendor deliverables with business priorities and contractual commitments
Data & Integration Delivery:

Leading projects where data integration is a core component (ETL/ELT, APIs, pipelines)

Delivering solutions integrating multiple systems, platforms, and data sources

Supporting data platform, analytics, and reporting initiatives
-
Ensuring data availability, consistency, and usability for business stakeholders

Applying understanding of modern data architectures including data platforms and lakehouse concepts
Required Skills & Experience

Essential:

5–10+ years' experience in IT project delivery with a strong focus on project management

Proven experience managing vendors and external partners, with contracting exposure preferred

Experience delivering data or integration projects where data flows are critical

Strong stakeholder management skills across business and IT functions

Ability to operate effectively in multi-vendor and cross-functional environments

Strong delivery mindset, communication, and problem-solving skills

Experience working in Agile and hybrid delivery environments
Technology Knowledge (Supporting Capability):

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure ecosystem, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric)

Understanding of data integration tools and pipelines (e.g., Data Factory, APIs)

Knowledge of BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)

Awareness of data modelling and warehousing concepts

Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices
