About the Role
Executive Hurdles Recruitment is proud to partner with a well-established and respected business within the construction materials sector to recruit a Product Sales Specialist.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional with strong industry knowledge to take ownership of a defined territory across the Northwest and parts of Yorkshire. The role combines new business development, account management, and technical support—offering real scope to make an impact and drive regional growth.
Key Responsibilities

Drive sales across a portfolio of construction products, including mortars, plasters, renders, and insulation systems

Develop and manage relationships with merchant partners and distributors, supporting stockist strategies and product availability

Proactively follow up and convert inbound leads and enquiries, preparing and delivering quotations

Provide technical support and guidance to developers, contractors, and specifiers, including site visits where required

Deliver product presentations, CPDs, and training sessions to customers and partners

Collaborate closely with internal technical and sales teams to ensure customer requirements are fully met

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records via CRM (calls, visits, quotes, projects, and customer interactions)

Support wider marketing and social media initiatives as required

Represent the business professionally, promoting product benefits and maintaining a strong market reputation

Monitor performance, report on activity, and contribute to achieving regional and company growth targets
About You

Proven experience in a product sales role within the construction or building materials sector (essential)

Strong track record of driving sales growth and winning new business

Ability to confidently provide technical product support

Experience working with merchants, distributors, contractors, or specifiers

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable managing a remote, territory-based role

Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines
