Executive Hurdles Recruitment is supporting a well-established and growing engineering technology business seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager specialising in Sensors and Industrial Electronics.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven technical sales professional to join a respected business operating within a high-growth technology market, supplying advanced sensing solutions into a broad range of industrial and engineering sectors across the UK.

The role combines technical understanding with consultative commercial sales, focusing on developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across the company’s sensor product portfolio.

This opportunity would suit individuals with direct experience selling sensors, industrial electronics, automation components, instrumentation, or related technical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Develop new business opportunities across industrial, manufacturing, automation, and engineering sectors
Build strong relationships with OEMs, distributors, engineering teams, procurement stakeholders, and technical decision-makers
Manage the full sales process from lead generation through to quotation, negotiation, and closing
Deliver consultative technical sales presentations and product demonstrations
Identify customer application requirements and recommend suitable sensing technologies and solutions
Drive achievement of revenue and margin targets across assigned territories
Maintain and develop long-term customer relationships to maximise account growth
Work closely with internal technical and engineering teams to support customer requirements
Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events, and exhibitions
Required Skills & Experience
Essential: Strong background selling sensors into industrial, military, defence or aerospace markets
Strong understanding of sensor technologies and industrial applications
Commercially astute with experience managing sales pipelines and revenue targets
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Engineering or Electronics degree, or equivalent technical experience
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK​
