CAD Technician | Design Lead | BIM Coordinator | Civils/SuDS Engineer | Bingley

Four appointments within an established engineering design and consultancy practice specialising in sports infrastructure, field of play and sustainable water management — working across grassroots community facilities, elite professional sports environments and award-winning public realm and drainage projects across the UK and internationally.

 

Role 1 — CAD Technician

A full-time, office-based appointment joining the Design team at the head office in Bingley. As CAD Technician you will collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to develop coordinated technical designs from concept through to construction — including drainage, earthworks, levels modelling and detailed construction build-ups across a diverse range of sports facility projects.

  • Salary: £29,000 – £35,000 depending on experience

  • Type: Full-time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 08:45–17:00

  • Location: Bingley — office-based

  • Start: Immediate

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and developing General Arrangement (GA) drawings for sports facilities

  • Developing surface and below-ground drainage designs

  • Undertaking earthworks and levels modelling

  • Preparing cross-sections and detailed construction build-ups

  • Developing coordinated technical drawing packages

  • Interpreting and working from topographical surveys and other engineering information

 

What we're looking for:

  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD — essential

  • Experience using Civil 3D for levels, surfaces, earthworks and/or drainage design — essential

  • Experience producing General Arrangement drawings and detailed construction information

  • Good understanding of drainage design, earthworks, levels, gradients and falls

  • Ability to interpret topographical surveys and existing site information

  • Experience with Revit, Navisworks and BIM-led project environments (desirable)

  • Previous experience in sports-surface or field of play design (desirable)

  • Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent professional experience in Civil Engineering, Construction or CAD (desirable)

  • Full clean UK driving licence

Role 2 — Design Lead – Sports Infrastructure

A full-time appointment leading and coordinating the technical delivery of major sports infrastructure and field of play projects across the UK and internationally. As Design Lead you will work closely with specialist consultants, designers and BIM teams to translate performance requirements into coordinated, buildable engineering solutions. Hybrid or remote working considered.

  • Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 depending on experience

  • Type: Full-time, Permanent

  • Location: Bingley Head Office — hybrid or remote considered

  • Start: As soon as possible

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the multidisciplinary design and coordination of stadium, training facility and sports infrastructure projects

  • Coordinating field of play systems including drainage, irrigation, water infrastructure, undersoil heating and ventilation

  • Developing and reviewing drawings, BIM models, engineering details and technical documentation

  • Preparing and coordinating performance specifications, bills of quantities and technical submissions

  • Reviewing technical calculations, contractor submissions and shop drawings during design and construction

  • Ensuring the complete design package is coordinated, technically robust and buildable

 

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive experience in an engineering design environment — civil, mechanical, MEP or infrastructure — essential

  • Strong multidisciplinary engineering coordination experience

  • Experience working within BIM-led project environments

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; Civil 3D or Navisworks advantageous

  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients, architects, engineers and contractors

  • Experience preparing performance specifications, bills of quantities and technical presentations (desirable)

  • Professional accreditation or progress towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status (desirable)

  • Previous experience in sports-surface or field of play design (desirable)

  • Full clean UK driving licence

Role 3 — BIM Coordinator

A full-time, office-based appointment supporting the Senior Designer and project Design Leads — ensuring the quality and coordination of BIM information across a range of high-profile engineering and sports infrastructure projects, including major stadiums and elite training facilities.

  • Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 depending on experience

  • Type: Full-time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 08:45–17:00

  • Location: Bingley — office-based

  • Start: Immediate

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating BIM delivery across assigned projects in line with project requirements and standards

  • Managing project model setup, coordinates, links, work sets and information exchanges

  • Undertaking model reviews, clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination

  • Supporting the implementation of BIM Execution Plans and project workflows

  • Providing day-to-day BIM and Revit support to designers and technicians

  • Producing coordinated plans, sections, details, schedules and technical design information

 

What we're looking for:

  • Strong practical experience with Autodesk Revit — essential

  • Proven experience in a BIM Coordinator, Revit Technician or similar role

  • Good understanding of drawings, pipework, drainage, levels and utility interfaces

  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM information management principles

  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360 or other Common Data Environments

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (desirable)

  • Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent professional experience in a relevant engineering discipline (desirable)

  • Previous experience in sports-surface or field of play design (desirable)

  • Full clean UK driving licence

Role 4 — Civils/SuDS Engineer

A full-time appointment within a leading environmental engineering consultancy specialising in sustainable water management — with a strong reputation for delivering innovative drainage and SuDS designs across sports stadiums, public realm and residential and commercial infrastructure projects. Based in Bingley, Warrington or Nottingham.

  • Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 depending on experience

  • Type: Full-time, Permanent

  • Location: Bingley, Warrington or Nottingham — office-based with occasional site visits

  • Start: Immediate

  • Please note: A full clean UK driving licence is required

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design, specification and implementation of SuDS for residential, commercial and infrastructure developments

  • Conducting and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) in compliance with UK legislation and planning policy

  • Developing and reviewing detailed drainage designs using MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, InfoDrainage and Site3D

  • Managing and mentoring junior engineers and ensuring high-quality design work

  • Preparing technical reports, design documents and project proposals

  • Ensuring designs adhere to industry best practices, national standards and company quality assurance procedures

 

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related subject — essential

  • Proven experience in SuDS design, flood risk management and drainage design — essential

  • Proficiency in drainage design software (MicroDrainage, Civil 3D, InfoDrainage, FLOW or Site3D) — essential

  • Chartered or working towards Chartered status (ICE, CIWEM)

  • Strong project management skills with experience managing multiple concurrent projects

  • Experience with Tuflow, ICM or another 1D/2D hydraulic modelling package (desirable)

  • Experience preparing section agreements (S38, S104, S185, S278) (desirable)

  • Highway design and geotechnical experience (desirable)

  • Full clean UK driving licence
